Maryland Cemetery, Funeral and Cremation Association 10th Annual Holiday Gathering

 

On December 7th, 2017, our advocate, Marilyn Harris-Davis, represented Monument Builders of North America and our MBAdvocacy program, as a Silver Sponsor, at the Maryland Cemetery, Funeral and Cremation Association’s 10th Annual Holiday Gathering. The evening was full of delicious food and great company as MCFCA members, non-members, and guests gathered together to celebrate the holiday season.

Memorialization is about healing the people that few people that mourn your loss and recording a little bit of the flavor of your character for the many people who will follow after you.

Stone is polished by hours of work by a skilled craftsman. There is no "coating" that is applied. The beautiful, nearly permanent shine on memorials is created by a series of diamond impregnated pads, water, and a skilled craftsman. If the polishing process is done incorrectly, the stone can overheat causing the stone surface to prematurely crumble.

Remembering and recording the lives of loved ones that were cremated is as important as remembering and recording the life of a person that received a traditional burial.
