MBNA Seeking New Finance & Budget Committee Member

MBNA is currently seeking a member to serve on the Finance and Budget Committee, with the intention to progress to the role of Treasurer (which is part of the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees). The Finance and Budget Committee works with the Executive Vice President and the CPA on staff to oversee the financial affairs of the association. Duties include working with staff to draft the annual budget, reviewing monthly financial reports, reviewing and providing approval on financial disbursements, and special projects as may be requested by the leadership. Ideally, this person will have the following qualities and capabilities:

MBNA Officer Elected President Of the Texas Cemetery Association

Fort Worth, Texas — The Monument Builders of North America would like to congratulate Ryan Worthington, owner of Erath Gardens of Memory in Stephenville, TX, for her appointment as President of the Texas Cemetery Association. Ms. Worthington is the first female to become President of the Association, which turned 90 years old in 2018. The Texas Cemetery Association (TCA), an association of cemeteries in Texas, formed in 1928 to act as a liaison between cemeteries, monument dealers, the public and state and local government. Ms. Worthington was installed as President during the TCA Annual Convention, which took place on May 19-21, 2019, in San Antonio, TX.

Stone is polished by hours of work by a skilled craftsman. There is no "coating" that is applied. The beautiful, nearly permanent shine on memorials is created by a series of diamond impregnated pads, water, and a skilled craftsman. If the polishing process is done incorrectly, the stone can overheat causing the stone surface to prematurely crumble.

Sometimes the best way to heal is to remember.
