Course Description
With the great feedback received about “The Memorial Day Project”, MBNA wanted to tell you about how the project came to fruition, its success in terms of views, what people inside and outside our industry say about the video and how you can use the video. You can use this video and others on your website/facebook page, in your email signature or even in a sales meeting!

In this webinar you will learn to: make money using video, make use of the MBNA's $100,000 investment, and add video to your website (don't worry...it's as easy as cutting and pasting!).

Bobby Mattos, AICA and Brian Rowley believe that video is important to Memorialists. In this one hour webinar, they’ll show you the miracle of the “three minute journey” and why a few thousand web video views may be more powerful than a 30 second commercial on television. Learn about timing, passive viewing vs. active viewing, video stats, SEO, and customer satisfaction, and how video can be a national voice for a cottage industry.

About Our Presenter
Bobby Mattos, AICA is a 5th generation Memorialist from Bras and Mattos Monument Company est. 1897 in Hayward California. He was raised in the business but began working full time in the industry after earning his B.A. in History at California State University Sacramento in 2003. Like many others in the monument industry, he sells, designs and does just about anything else needed at his shop on a daily basis. He has owned and operated his own stone carving gallery, instructed and taught creative stone carving technique seminars at several conventions and workshops across the country. He has instructed at Rock Camp, and continues to teach stone carving at The School of Hard Rocks with business partner and founder Charlie Hunt (Hunt Memorials) of Nashville Tennessee.

Brian Rowley owns Memorialist Media, a creative agency dedicated to the specialized needs of memorialists. He filmed the "Memorial Day Project 2012" video. Brian and his company, Memorialist Media, are currently engaged in realizing the vision of the MBFilms Committee to create media that will show the general public that memorialists make a product that is more relevant than ever. In his own words, Brian states that "Memorialists have an incredible story to tell. They create a product that binds families together and records their memories and values. Memorialist's role in telling the stories of individuals and families all around the world is touching, and I'm excited to be able to tell their story."

What is an MBUniversity Webinar?
A MBUniversity Webinar is a live, interactive 60-minute conference presented over the telephone and over the Internet. You can attend from any location that has telephone and Internet access. You pay just one registration fee for as many participants as you wish at each call/log-in location.

Note that high-speed Internet access is not mandatory – the system works with dial-up but you must have separate connections for the audio and video portions if you wish to listen and watch simultaneously. You may use cell phones for the audio if you have only one connection or if you must be away from a computer for the webinar.

Who presents at an MBUniversity Webinar?
Your webinar will have one or more speakers who are recognized experts on the topic. Conferences typically include a Q&A session; you can ask questions by phone or instant messaging options.

CEU Credits
The MBNA Certification Program was developed as a result of a three-year study program by some of the industry's most recognized leaders. It raises the professional standards to those engaged in the memorialization industry and awards the top level of competence and ethical conduct. The MBNA Certified Memorialist® (CM) designation is the highest honor of professional achievement available in the memorial industry. Certification is awarded to individuals, not a firm as a whole. Both Members and non-members of MBNA can apply to become a CM.

Requirements to earn the “Certified Memorialist”® designation under the MBNA Certification Program are divided between successful completion of the examination, which is based upon material in the Certification Manual, and the accumulation of points awarded for participation in the specific activities listed below. To achieve initial certification, a minimum of 50 points must be accumulated; individuals have a maximum of 5 years immediately preceding application for certification during which to accumulate the required points.

To maintain the “Certified Memorialist”® designation under the MBNA Certification Program, an individual must earn a minimum of 30 points in these categories over a period of 3 years. Recertification must be made 3 years from the last designated certification.

This program has been approved for one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) towards initial or recertification as a CM®.What does my registration include?
Your registration includes long-distance charges for the audio portion and log-in to the video presentation. Once logged in, all handouts are downloadable prior to the start of the webinar. MBUniversity webinars also include one hour/unit of Continuing Education.
