Download Eventify
Be on the lookout for info about Eventify - MBUniversity 2026's conference app. The app has information about conference sessions, the venue, and exhibitors. You can even connect with other attendees before arriving at conference.
Make Your Agenda
Look at the educational sessions, think about which are the most interesting to you. Review the list of exhibitors and decide which you want to meet with the most. You might think you have plenty of time to talk to every exhibitor, but you'll be surprised at how quickly time passes at a conference.
Get Ready to Network
Part of attending a conference is networking, which means quickly introducing yourself and making a connection. Plan out a thirty-second elevator pitch - who you are and what you do, maybe a professional interest of yours, or what you're hoping to learn at the conference. Watch the video above for tips!
Traveling to Conference
Packing Tips
Make sure to pack layers. You might be too hot or too cold depending on the room or the time of day. Pack comfy shoes - concrete is hard on your feet! Bring your devices, and make sure you have chargers for all of them. If you have business cards, make sure to bring plenty for networking.
Flying
If you're a U.S. citizen, make sure to have either your passport or state-issued ID with Real ID. If you're not a citizen, make sure to have your passport or Resident Alien Card (Green Card) along with any necessary visa or travel documents, and a copy of your conference registration confirmation.
See our
travel page if you still need to book your travel.
Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown
When you check in at the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown, make sure to have your photo ID and a credit card handy. The front desk staff will need to make sure your name matches the reservation, and then they will put a hold on your credit card for "incidentals" - things like room service or other charges. The hold is not a charge - but if you use a debit card, those funds will essentially be taken out of your account until the hotel releases the hold.
During Conference
Follow the Signs
Spend some time looking at the maps in Eventify, that way you'll know where you're going each day, and you'll feel more comfortable doing it. There will be signs posted around the hotel to help you find conference sessions.
Get Ribbon
Be on the lookout for other first time attendees by looking for the rainbow-colored “First-Time Attendee” ribbon on their badge. Make sure to pick one up from registration, located on the second floor of the hotel.
Wear Your Badge
Your badge shows that you're part of the conference and ensures your admission to all sessions, including meals and receptions. It also helps others recognize you! Ths should be worn to all conference sessions.
Make Connections
At MBUniversity, you'll meet people in the industry you might not meet anywhere else. Challenge yourself to introduce yourself to people sitting next to you. Don't spend all of your time with your coworkers or friends. Get people's contact information or their business card so you can make permanent connections.
Get Your Rest
Days during a conference can be long, and when combined with travel, you can easily find yourself exhausted. Make sure to get your rest so you can be on your a-game throughout conference.
Charge Up
Fully charge your devices every night, and pack your charger(s) in your bag each day. Don't expect to be able to plug in during every session.
Speak Up!
During education sessions, ask questions if you have them. If you're unclear about what's being said, you're not learning everything you can. And someone else probably has the same question too.
Post on Social Media
Post on social media using #MBUniversity2026! Let other people know what you're up to. A post about going to conference is great content for a business to post as well.
Explore the City
You're at MBUniversity to learn and to connect with other industry professionals. But that doesn't mean you should be in the hotel the entire time. Find some time during the evening to explore the Fort Worth Stockyards. You can take the Orange Line of the Trinity Metro bus system directly to the Stockyards.
After Conference
Post Conference Survey
You'll receive a post-conference survey. Please fill it out! We use the feedback to plan better future events.
