Webinars: MBNA’s Education Committee organizes a yearly calendar of education touching on all areas of the monument industry. Recent topics include tariffs, design techniques, selling with sensitivity, etc. MBNA members attend webinars live at no cost as a benefit of membership. Registration is open to anyone employed at an MBNA firm. Recorded sessions are also available on-demand at no cost. A library of webinars is linked from the MBNA website to MBNA’s YouTube channel.

OnBoarding Videos: MBNA members face similar challenges in training tasks specific to the monument industry that an employee is unlikely to have learned at any other job. To address that need a series of 15 onboarding videos – free to members – have been created. These videos are helpful for initial employee orientations but the links can be included in employee materials so they can be referenced again on-demand. All of the videos are less than 15 minutes with many of them less than 5 minutes making them very accessible and easy for employees to review.

Monument Industry Show & MBUniversity Conferences — Every odd numbered year, MBNA presents a full industry trade show with full size headstones, design softwares, supplies, and exhibitors from across the globe! This is the biggest trade show in the remembrance industry! Every even numbered year, MBNA presents an expanded educational conference called MBUniversity. This conference is entirely focused on continuing education, staying up to date on industry trends, and allowing for network opportunities.
Certified Memorialist® Program — Document and brand your level of expertise and competence in the memorial industry by taking our CM exam. The MBNA Certified Memorialist® (CM) designation is a highly regarded professional achievement available in the memorial industry.
Communications—MBNA maintains constant communication with its members through informative mailings, publications, and a strong online presence.

- The MB Brief is your bi-weekly email newsletter with information about membership benefits, upcoming events, and association happenings.

MBNA Annual Awards Programs – Our annual Design Contest recognizes excellence in memorial art. The Aspire Awards highlight member firms’ successful Marketing & Public Relations Programs.
Consumer website: The MBNA Marketing Committee is preparing to launch of its newly redesigned directory website: search.monumentbuilders.org. The purpose of the site is to simplify the process of finding trusted professionals who specialize in designing and creating memorials that honor loved ones with dignity and permanence. The directory helps connect the public to experts who adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in the industry.

Marketing Videos: The MBNA Marketing committee recognizes the value of having high-quality video content on the website and on social media. The MBFilms Master Series has 26 videos ranging from 30 seconds to three minutes on topics of mothers, fathers, community healing, civic memorials, basics of monument designing, and the professionalism of MBNA members. Although these videos can be used as they are without editing, tools such as Canva have made editing the video so it includes your company information very accessible.
Using the MBNA Logo: Members can utilize the MBNA logo in their advertising, website and signage to indicate they adhere to the Code of Good Practice and support the values of MBNA.
PR Toolkit: The MBNA Marketing Committee is in the process of writing an updated version of a Marketing and Public Relations toolkit to help MBNA member companies strategize and execute marketing and public relations campaigns to benefit their businesses and the memorial industry as a whole. The Committee plans to have this resource available to members at no cost by October 1.
Networking – MBNA has a Members Only Facebook Group so you can connect with fellow MBNA members. You can ask each other questions, get inspiration, and see other amazing craftsmanship!

Roster and Buyers Guide: Published yearly, the MBNA Roster and Buyers Guide is the go-to resource for monument builders looking for material, equipment and supplies. Manufacturers and suppliers can appear in an unlimited number of categories.
Skill Building/Get Involved: Any employee associated with an MBNA member company (retailer, Manufacturer/Wholesaler, Supplier/Bronze , or affiliate) can volunteer to serve on a committee to gain leadership experience. MBNA Committees include: Convention, Education, Marketing, Membership, Advocacy, Editorial Board, and Awards.
Districts and Divisions: MBNA is governed by a Board of Trustees which is made up of officers, district trustees and division leaders – all of whom are voting members. This structure ensures that members have a point person within the leadership of the organization.
Affinity Partners – MBNA partners with numerous companies to help our members save! From freight discounts to sales on computers, MBNA can help you!
Advocacy Program — We are committed to supporting our members in addressing improper restraints of trade. Our Advocacy Support Program is designed to help you navigate and overcome these challenges through a structured and efficient process that is designed to combat unreasonable and/or anti-competitive practices by other entities in the death care industry.
Public Relations—MBNA strives to become the definitive industry organization that handles and supports the concerns of memorialists and consumers everywhere. We also constantly work to increase awareness among consumers of the value of dealing with MBNA member companies and our Certified Memorialists®.
Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring—Every new member allows MBNA to speak with a collective voice on state/provincial and federal legislative and regulatory issues for the industry. MBNA educates regulators and legislators about the unique aspects of your businesses that set them apart from other businesses in the death care industry.
Safety: MBNA partners with Certified Safety Training (CST) to offer a discounted safety package to MBNA members.
Discounts: MBNA partners with numerous organizations to provide our members with beneficial discounts. MBNA is constantly looking for new discount opportunities and those will be announced to members when available.
Code of Good Practice: Monument Builders of North America as the trade association of the industry, seeks to work closely with all other segments of the memorial industry and cemeteries to protect the interest of the public. To do so, members of the association must subscribe to this Code and give notice that they clearly recognize the need to preserve and encourage fair and equitable competition and fair-trade practices among all who are engaged in the sale of memorials to the public.
