In today’s western culture of the “American Dream,” we wear busy as a badge of honor. We view working to the point of burnout as being successful. We think saying no would make us rude or lazy. 

We grow increasingly tired and weary, wondering if anyone appreciates all that we do and questioning if there is any way to take care of ourselves while meeting work’s demands. In this session, we’ll discuss strategies for slowing down so we can be more effective and productive in our work. We will also address the realities of compassion fatigue which results from daily working with those who are suffering. Finally, we’ll identify small changes we can make in our attitude and habits that can lead to big changes in managing our daily work and stressors.
